To Sour an Enemy's Life

I am not going to get into the particulars of why I performed this working or on whom I will describe for you below, suffice it to say that I feel it was justified and that I should perform it immediately rather than waiting for the moon to change. Since the moon is waxing, I performed this working with the idea that my curse will grow and become more powerful as the moon grows.

To perform this working you will need.

A photo of the person
tacky glue
a clean glass jar with a tight fitting lid
vinegar
pins
salt
rue
red-pepper
black-pepper
sage
petition paper
pen

To begin, glue the person's photograph to the jar upside down. Next, write the person's name on a piece of paper 13 times then draw a large X through the list of the names. Fold the paper away from you three times, turning it counter-clockwise once between each fold.

Place the name-paper in the empty jar. Place the pins in the jar, then fill the jar 3/4 full with an equal mixture of the dried herbs. Finally, pour in the vinegar filling up the jar and screw on the lid tightly.

Finally, set up and burn a black-candle on top of the jar invoking your curse.

"{Name} may your life be turned upside down and turn as sour and bitter as this vinegar. May all the evil you direct against others be visited upon you, may your life be filled with darkness and evil, and may you walk the earth alone and afraid for all your days!"

Store the jar in a dark place. At the same time each day for a total of 13 days, burn a new candle up top of the remains of the old one and utter your curse. If for any reason you find yourself filled with anger throughout the day (angry at traffic, poor customer service, an unruly child, etc...) channel that anger against the person by visualizing the person and utter your curse.

At the end of the 13 days,throw the jar into a body of water so that as it sinks so will the person sink to the depths of despair.

When you are done, follow up your work with a cleansing Spiritual Bath that includes hyssop, or at least salt and ammonia to separate yourself from the negativity of the work.

... & Candle Spell for Love

Moon Phase: Waxing (in Leo)
Time: Working was begun at 8:30 pm PST, when both clock hands were on the rise.

To perform this working you will need:

The Third Pentacle of Venus

Red Pen
Black Pen
Blue Candle
saucer
Mortar and Pestle
Candle Board
Sage
Ginger
Lemon Balm Leaf
Love Drawing Oil(s)

To begin, mix equal amounts of the sage, ginger, and lemon balm leaf in your mortar and grind them together with your pestle. Next, draw or print the pentacle of Venus on a piece of red or pink paper. Turn it over and write your name in red ink three time, then cross and cover this with your specific wish for love in black ink also three times. Finally, write the word love over and over around this until it forms a circle.

When you are done anoint the four corners and center of the paper with any love-drawing type oil. For the purpose of this working I used my personal formulas known as Wishing Well, Love Me Tender Oil, and Purple Power Potion. Place one hair each from your head, armpit, and pubes in the center of the petition and sprinkle a bit of the dried herbal mixture over the paper. Carefully fold the paper towards you three times rotating it clockwise between each fold. Put the paper aside for now.

Carve your name on a blue candle ( I originally thought to use red or pink, but I came across a blue one and it felt right to me as I associate blue with wish magic) and then carve your wish on it's opposite side. Thoroughly anoint the candle with your oil(s). Sprinkle your dried herbs over your candle board and spread it out, then roll your candle (towards yourself) in the herbal mixture. Set the candle in a holder. Place your petition under an overturned saucer and place the candle holder on top of the saucer.

Light the candle and some incense and make your prayer or petition. Some practitioners believe that Psalm 23 can be utilized for any petition and I agree, however I prefer to also make an impromptu prayer when making my petition. I will not assume to teach others how to pray, but for those who may need an example to help them pray below is an approximation of what I said:

"The Lord is my Shepard, I shall not want. This candle burning true and bright represents my sincere desire for love. May it's light draw unto me like a moth to a flame, like a bee to honey, like a fly to shit ---a man who will love me as I love him, desire me as I desire him, comfort me as I comfort him, provide for my needs and I shall provide for his, etc...Lord, the good book says ask and it shall be given and I know that you will bring about this love and bless it. In Jesus' name. Amen."

Afterward

The candle burned pretty well, and went down fast. It actually set off my smoke detector, about an hour later, which is sensitive to heat. I had to fan the smoke detector with a pillow from my bed to get it to stop, as I live on the bottom floor of a two story apartment and did not want to disturb my upstairs neighbor. I quickly snuffed out the candle with a candle snuffer, then moved the whole thing to the kitchen sink, far away from the two smoke detectors in the apartment. You'd think there's be at least one in the kitchen, but ones in the bedroom and one's just outside the bathroom?

The candle finished about an hour and a half later, around 11:00 pm. This morning I took a few pics of the remains.

In the center of the picture, I see what appears to be an elephant with it's head down. According to Dr. K, in feng shui an elephant with it's trunk down is unlucky. However, when I first saw this in the wax I thought of Ganesha with his head down charging through obstacles, opening the way. If we combine these two it could mean that the spell is breaking through the obstacles that make me unlucky in love. Lemon Balm, which was used in this spell, is thought to remove love jinxes.

Just below the elephants 'trunk' I see what appears to be a boxing glove to me. Not sure about this one, I just hope the owner of that glove is on my side. Hmmm it just occurred to me that love is a part of glove. Boxing g'love....boxing love...I'm sure there's something there.....

In the bottom left corner, I see what appears to be some kind of bird creature, perhaps a buzzard. It's funny that just below and to the left of the bird there is something charred which could be a carcass. Could it be that Dr. Buzzard is reaching out from beyond the grave to help me.....lol. Maybe that carcass is my old, lonely life.

Not sure of what all this means, but I'm keeping a positive attitude.

Of Papers and Petitions

In the Hoodoo tradition, one is typically advised to write one's petition on brown paper torn, usually from a grocery type sack, on all four sides by hand. This is thought to make the paper pure. However, there are instances where the practitioner is allowed to cut the paper with a pair of scissors. The use of scissors is seen as symbolic of using weapons such as swords, knives, and daggers against one's enemies. Some situations in which you would cut your petition paper with scissors can include when driving two people apart, or working enemy tricks.

In my personal practices, I prefer the paper to form a perfect square. However, I've never seen any reference where this was a traditional rule sacred to the practice of Hoodoo. Ideally I like to use brown paper bags and lead pencils or regular ink pens whose colors matches my goal (red for love, green for money) and usually paired with black for contrast. Like a prosperity petition would have my name nine times in black ink and crossed nine time with 'prosperity' in green ink. I usually incorporate symbols such as dollar signs, hearts, astrological symbols, and even sometimes Runes into the petition.

If I am am writing a petition that will have an effect on two people, such as bringing them together or driving them apart; I will cross one name with the other and write what I want to happen in a circle around the names. For example, in the photo at the beginning of this blog post, you can see an example of a petition I wrote when I wanted a local car dealer to finance me when I went to buy a new car. I wrote his name in red, so that he would be filled with positive thoughts of me so he would be inclined to finance me; my own name was written in black to surround me with an aura of prosperity and show me as someone who will make my payments on time. The paper itself was torn from a sack of sugar.

If I am writing a petition that is meant to command or compel another person, I will write their name in all lower case letters and cross and cover their name with my command in all caps (usually with a sharpie). Again, my specific command will be written around the names in a circle.

In addition, I have also used different types of papers for different situations.

* If I am doing any kind of love or sweetener type of spell, I write my petition on the paper torn from a sack of sugar.

* If I am writing a petition for any type of prosperity or financial increase, I use a portion of the envelope in which my monthly bank statement is mailed. I've also used the financial section of the newspaper and write my petition on the paper in black permanent marker. Black being a color associated with profits in accounting.

* I often save the cards, letters, and envelopes that friends send to me. I clip their signature from the card as well as the part that they licked to seal the envelope and save these as personal concerns. I also save parts of the envelope with no writing on it (usually the inside), which I can use to write a petition that is intended to have an effect on that person. I also save handwritten notes that people leave me at work for the same purpose.

I keep all my papers in separate ziplock bags labeled by type of use. The papers associated with specific people are placed in smaller ziplock bags along with any other personal concerns I have belonging to said person.

Protection and Reversal

Note: Below I am describing some work that I performed after having been verbally attacked, mocked, and lied about by two co-workers. You may want to read my previous blog entry on this subject to see what prompted me to perform this working.

First, I wrote my name nine times on a piece of paper and crossed and covered this with the word protection in big bold letters. Around this I wrote the statement "may all the good I've been denied, now come to me." I then folded the petition towards me three times, rotating it once clockwise between each fold, and set this aside. Next, I carved my name upon a white candle. I anointed the white candle with High John the Conqueror Root Oil and rolled it towards myself in a mixture of salt, bay, and basil. I placed the candle in a holder, under which I placed the petition, and placed the holder on my altar.

Next I crossed and covered the names of the two people who attacked me on a piece of paper. Around the names in a perfect circle I wrote the statement "may all the evil you've done to me now return to you." I folded the paper away from myself three times, rotation it counterclockwise between each fold and set this aside. I carved the names of the two individuals upon a black candle, then dipped the entire thing in vinegar. I then rolled the wet candle in a mixture of red pepper, black pepper, and sage. This candle was then placed in a holder on my altar.

At my altar, I lit my illumination candles (candles lit for light and atmosphere) and anointed my hands and temples with High John the Conqueror Oil. I lit the white candle and said "May all the good I've been denied, now come to me!". Then I lit the black candle and said "May all the evil these two have done to me, now return to them!".

As the candles burned I took out my bible and read Psalm 91. When I finished reading the passage, I uttered a personal prayer asking the Lord to take up my cause and defend me where I cannot.

At this point I felt the anger I had held onto all day just leave me and I didn't dwell on the matter any more. As the candles continued burning I drew a bath that contained salt, basil and ammonia. I soaked in the bath for about half and hour before pulling the plug.

At this point I felt moved to do some additional work. I knew that I planned on speaking to the big boss about the incident so I went into my little cabinet and pulled on the Christmas card (complete with photo) that he gave all the employees last year. On the back of the photo, I wrote [name of boss] favor me, three times. I then crossed and covered this with my own name, written three times. I placed the photo on a saucer and poured some syrup over it.

I carved his name on a pink candle and placed this on top of the photo (the stickiness of the syrup made it stand up on it's own). I lit the candle and improvised a prayer that my boss favor me in this matter.

Finally, I wrote the names of the two individuals who attacked me on a small piece of paper nine times each. This paper was then placed in my right shoe face down, so that all day I will walk all over them.

The Results:

I went into work this morning and acted like the previous day never happened. I didn't address any of the issues or bring up the incident. The supervisor that berated me was as nice as she could be. We both performed our jobs and had little contact. She offered to buy me a coffee from Starbucks (I declined) early in the day, and made it a point to tell me what good job I did on a certain task.

The cashier that yelled at me, absolutely refused to speak to me all day (which was fine with me). I spoke to her about business issues, but she didn't respond other than to acknowledge my directions. I happen to be in the break room when she took her first break, she heated up her croissant in the microwave and then took it to her car.

The supervisor that berated me had to leave early since she was approaching overtime. After she left, I made it a point to speak with my manager (the big boss) about who the supervisor treated me in the office. I told him my side of the story and he viewed the video tapes while I sat in the office. After viewing the tape he was very sympathetic towards me although he did tell me that me and the cashier should not have gotten in a shouting match on the sales-floor. I agreed with that because he faulted us both and all the blame for the incident was not being laid at my feet. The supervisor who berated me will be getting a talking to tomorrow as well.

All in all, I am satisfied with the outcome. In addition, since I spoke to the boss about the supervisor I have a certain level of protection now from her as they don't want to be accused of 'retaliation".

Divination: Urim and Thummim

Urim and Thummim is a phrase commonly associated with the breastplate of the Jewish High Priest. They are known to be objects which are held in the breastplate and which are associated with a system of casting lots mentioned in the bible (1 Samuel Chapter 14).

While there is no description as to the Urim and Thummim's form, it has been theorized that they are two dissimilar stones which can be distinguished from one another by their color, type of stone, or words which have been engraved upon them (1 Samuel 28:6).

Again, while the precise manner in which to operate the Urim and Thummim is largely unknown it has been theorized that the Urim (a white stone) represents 'no'; while Thummim (a black stone) represent yes. To use the stones, they are placed in a bag, a objective question is asked and a stone is drawn unseen from the bag.

It is interesting to note that the ancient Hebrews believed in only three forms of communication with God. They are through dreams, through prophets, and through Urim and Thummim. This would make Urim and Thummim the only form of divination sanctioned by the Judiasm, and therefore God.

As someone who's ancestry is, in part, Jewish I was once very interested in the ancient beliefs of the Jews. As such I collected my own set of Urim and Thummim. These stones were cleansed by wiping them down with ammonia and anointed with a combination of Psychic Vision Oil, King Solomon Oil, and High John the Conqueror Root oil and prayed over in the name of God.

The Seals of Solomon

The Seals of Solomon are magickal talismans attributed to the biblical King Solomon. They are purported to be extraordinarily powerful in Ceremonial Magick, but many different magickal practitioners use them. You will find the various seals and a description of their powers at the link below.

To utilize the seals, first decide which seal best suits your need and determine the correct astrological correspondences that relate to that goal. Next, copy the seal by hand on clean, unused paper. If you are not able to copy the seal by hand, and you have access to a copy machine, then copy it in that manner. Alternately, you can print the seal off of your computer on either white paper, or a sheet of paper who's color matches your goal.

Once you have the image copied, light a candle and incense and cut the Seal out of the paper. Write the name of the individual the Seal is to affect on its reverse three times in a row. Write a keyword or phrase around the name in a perfect circle so that all letters connect in one line and without lifting your pencil from the paper while writing the statement.

If the Talisman is to affect two people, for example, bringing them together or driving them apart, cross and cover one name with the other (both three times). Finally, write the keyword or phrase around the names.

During this process, focus your goal to the exclusion of everything else. Finally, empower the seal by anointing with a condition oil, your sexual fluids (for love and sex spells), or blowing a sachet powder on the seal. Seals can be tucked in your pocket, placed in a mojo bag, placed under a candle, placed inside your shoe, hidden in mundane object, etc... depending on it's purpose.
